Note that April 1 is the deadline for Registrations AND Athlete T-Shirt Orders.
Booster T-Shirts are no longer available for Pre-Order, but any prior Booster T-Shirts are good to wear!
Everyone attending should wear a Special Games T-Shirt: Student Athletes will get their ROYAL BLUE shirts ahead of time; Volunteers running the games will wear the YELLOW tees; Teachers, Aides, Parents, Classmates, Siblings etc. should wear DARK BLUE Booster shirts, if possible, from past games. NOTE: Teachers, Aides, Parents etc. should wear a DARK BLUE shirt, if no past booster shirt available.

As in previous years, Bay Area Kiwanis Clubs are sponsoring this event. As Teachers, it is your responsibility to register your students including ordering their free T-Shirts, notify parents and obtain their permission. INSTRUCTIONS:
ONLINE REGISTRATION - when registering Online please remember Athlete Registration includes Athlete T-Shirt Orders. Booster T-Shirts are no longer available for pre-order. ATHLETE GROUPS – due to participation increasing to over 1,000 Athletes, we are no longer offering registration for Athletes wishing to compete with those from other schools. Each registered Classroom will be assigned to a Group and each Classroom will compete as that Group together throughout Special Games.

• Adaptive PE Teacher Name or School/District Coordinator

• Classroom Age Group
ATHLETE INFORMATION – After entering Classroom Information, you will need to enter each Athlete’s First Name, Last Name, and T-Shirt size.
EVENTS – AFTER THE GAMES ARE DECLARED OPEN, ALL CLASSROOMS WILL REPORT TO THEIR GROUP’S FIRST EVENT for roll. This first event will be printed prominently on each Athlete’s nametag. After the Group Leader completes roll, the Group may compete at their FIRST EVENT. The Classroom Teacher (or designated representative) will work with the Group Leader to determine which events and in what order to compete. Group may repeat events.
PARENT RELEASE AND EMERGENCY FORM – although we have a form available online, please use one from your district/school if available. A form for each Athlete attending should be completed prior to the Games; however, the form does not need to be submitted beforehand. You will want to make two copies, one for your own use in case of emergency and a second form should be delivered upon arrival at the Games to the Nurses’ Tent.
NOTICE TO PARENTS: COLLEGE MAP AND DIRECTIONS should be distributed to parents so they may prepare their child for the day and make arrangements to attend. We are still making arrangements with West Valley College for parking, so parking instructions and any permits required will be available online.
T-SHIRT PICK-UP – distribution of Athlete T-Shirts will be coordinated by Special Education and APE personnel. Should you have any questions, please contact your Lead APE Teacher, Lead APE Special Educator or Special Education Administrator. Booster T-Shirts are not dated – no need to get at new one. For new Boosters (Teachers, Aids, Caretakers, Parents, Siblings),please wear navy blue shirt if no past booster shirt available. For last-minute changes, come to Athlete's Services after 8:00 am on the Day of Special Games.
Please ignore any dates on these documents while we work to update them.
On SOON TO BE DETERMINED DATE in 2026, students, teachers, volunteers and more, will start gathering at West Valley College in Saratoga for the Kiwanis Special Games. Buses will be transporting the student athletes and parking will be well designated. Note that the parking lot at West Valley College will be well marked...you'll see numerous signs accordingly.
If any questions arise, you will find numerous Kiwanis Volunteers there to help you. Anyone with a yellow 'volunteer' shirt on can assist - including the Key Club volunteers from the high schools. There's only one rule: have fun!
